These Terms govern your use of BeanBudget at beanbudget.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.
1. What BeanBudget is
BeanBudget is an espresso journal with optional AI coaching. You log shots, beans, and taste notes, and may upload media or other related content so we can generate coaching and suggestions on how to dial in your espresso. Coaching is informational and best-effort — we make no guarantee about the quality of any particular shot.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use BeanBudget.
- You’re responsible for the security of the email address you sign in with.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
3. Plans, billing, and renewal
BeanBudget starts with a free trial of 7 days, followed by read-only access to everything you logged. Paid subscription plans keep new-shot logging open. The features, limits, and price of each plan are shown at checkout and on our plans page; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, whichever you chose) until you cancel.
- Cancellation.You can cancel anytime from your profile, which opens our payment provider’s self-serve billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your paid features until then, and you won’t be charged again.
- Questions. For questions about the service or a charge, contact beanbudget.hello@gmail.com.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by our payment partner. Your card details go directly to them — we never see or store your card number.
- Plan changes.We may change plan features, limits, or pricing over time. For paid plans, material changes take effect from your next renewal, and we’ll give you reasonable notice in-app or by email first.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload (videos, taste notes, bean info, etc.). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, improving, and providing the service. We do not use your private content to train general-purpose AI models without your permission, and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors listed in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Try to break, abuse, or overload the service (including AI calls).
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or unrelated to the intended use of the service.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
- Use the service to harass anyone.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where practical, we may provide advance warning.
6. AI-generated coaching
Our coaching is generated by third-party AI systems and may be inaccurate or incomplete. When you ask for coaching on a shot, the brewing data and any video you attached are processed by those systems to produce the result. Treat coaching as a suggestion, not gospel. You are responsible for how you use any coaching or recommendations generated by the service. BeanBudget is intended for informational and hobbyist use only.
7. Service provided "as is"
BeanBudget is provided as is, without warranty. We don’t guarantee uptime, data preservation, or that any specific feature will keep working. You are responsible for maintaining backups of any content important to you. Features, functionality, and service limits may change over time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeanBudget and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or risk the integrity of the service. If we terminate your account for reasons other than violation, we’ll let you export your data first.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll bump the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Kuala Lumpur, unless your local consumer protection law gives you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
12. Entire agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BeanBudget regarding use of the service.
